Penthouse M
Berlin, Germany — 2024A high-end private penthouse of 300 square metres, conceived around the open kitchen as its sculptural centrepiece. The kitchen island becomes a monolithic object, not a functional room but an orchestrated living space. Clear axes and a restrained geometry unite cooking, dining, and living into a single, fluid composition.

Massive natural stone with dramatic veining wraps the island and niche walls. Smoked oak in herringbone pattern, vertical wood slats as architectural dividers, and integrated wine coolers with flush-mounted appliance fronts complete the material vocabulary.

Warm darkness defines the atmosphere: smoked oak, bronze and earth tones in the stone, greige on the tall cabinets, black leather on the bar stools. Indirect light and under-island illumination create a refined evening ambience, the island appears to float above the herringbone floor.
